Stargazer II's Customize Word 97
Spelling Dictionary

 

Tired of having Sisko replaced by sissy? Or getting a suggestion of Clinton for Klingon? It's easy to use the Star Trek Custom Dictionary in your applications that use a spell-checker. Download the startrektxt.zip   file and follow the instructions in your applications' help files to add a custom dictionary.

An example:
For Word 97, copy the startrek.txt file to the directory, Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared/Proof  folder. Rename the file startrek.txt to startrek.dic. Open Word 97 and choose the TOOLS menu and then OPTIONS... sub-menu. Choose the Spelling & Grammar tab. Click on the DICTIONARIES... button. The startrek.dic  file should be showing in the list of custom dictionaries. Check the box next to it and click on the OK button to close the window. Your Star Trek dictionary will now be enabled in Word 97.
